LABORATORY SKILLS - THE 95% RULE

Most laboratory errors are not due to equipment problems or bad samples. In fact, at least 95% of all laboratory problems, such as out of specification results (a regulatory nightmare), are caused by personal technique deficiencies on the part of chemists and analysts.

Surprisingly, most technique problems among analysts results from a lack of skill in the basics such as weighing, pipeting, dilutions, volumetric transfers, titrations and pH measurements. Many analysts who are highly skilled in instrumental techniques such as HPLC, often exhibit poor basic sample preparation skills.

We offer an in-house basic laboratory skills program that reinforces all major basic techniques. The program includes lecture, demonstration of proper technique and practical testing that evaluates the basic laboratory skills competence of each attendee.

This program has worked for many large and small pharmaceutical firms. It can also work for you.
